The 7 Unique Principles That Drives Our Work
The Movement Health Foundation is driven by 7 common-sense principles
carefully designed to maximise benefits while minimising risk and cost.
The principles guide our daily decisions, and is supported by our RAG-AI model and scientific framework.
1. BUILD DIGITAL BRIDGES
We remove barriers to health access.
We connect patients to exciting community hubs, pharmacies, health services, health professionals, and data using tech. bridges. We think of these as “digital bridges”.
We don’t build new hospitals or infrastructure or datacentrals. We don’t hire more staff.
Instead we connect and use what is already there in new ways to connect patients and stakeholders and respond directly to people’s health needs.
2. SCALE (ONLY) WHAT MATTERS
We only work with scalable solutions. We take time to understand what is scalable in each project. Scalability is one of our key metrics
We focus on impactful solutions that have the potential to scale to reach millions of lives, and dramatically reduce the avoidable disease burden.
If a project is not scaleable, we will not commence the project.
3. UNLOCK TECH. & AI EQUALITY
AI and technology should be for everyone. Globally.
We help unlock AI- and data-driven solutions in LMIC countries (solutions thus far reserved for HIC) through fit-for-purpose thinking, and partnerships with tech. companies that bring in solutions, and a focus on fairness.
4. MAKE PREVENTION PROFITABLE
Our projects help shift resources from late treatment to early detection and precise secondary prevention.
Acting early and precisely to prevent, diagnose and treat early to lower the avoidable disease burden, while connecting people to health services who this far had no access.
5. ACCELERATE LOW-COST SOLUTIONS
Time is of the essence. Project timelines must be short and easily manageable.
We encourage all stakeholders to compress timelines, from decades to months, to focus on self-sustaining, inexpensive solutions that can be implemented quickly.
We build the well-being economy together. At speed.
6. ENABLE DATA TO SERVE HUMANS
We help transform passive health data, sitting in silos, into real-time decision support tools for practitioners and patients.
Data should be set free to serve patients, health professionals and systems within strict protective frameworks, that enable all stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Data should drive decisions. Data also drives the decisions of the MHF
7. INSPIRE RADICAL SIMPLICITY
We always ask stakeholders to remove the complexities that block results.
We advocate for a new health paradigm where simplicity drives faster, smarter adoption and implementation to improve health access for all.
We look at all processes included in a project and ask ourselves:
“Is there a simpler way to achieve the same result?”
